I got it with the Deluxe Wii U set and it's fascinating. It feels quite different from the first game, but in no negative way. There is a lot to unlock, the online matches worked great (for a launch date try!) and you can choose whatever controller you want to use.The stages are incredible and some of them change to accomodate the "Transformed" idea of the game...some of the courses change by lap! Great music and smooth graphics. It gets intense, but go crazy. BD JOE! However, with the $40 price point and my need for a racer on my new Wii U console, I decided to give it a shot. I'm very glad I did! I've only played a few hours so far, but every time I thought about taking a break, I thought "one more race".This game reminds me a bit of the Nintendo 64 classic Diddy Kong Racing, because of the ability to use a car, plane or a watercraft (in this case a boat). If you're a fan of DKR and you don't want to wait until Mario Kart gets a Wii U entry, then I would definitely recommend trying this game out. The graphics are beautiful, the controls are smooth, and the music is great. This seems to me like a nice choice for a party game with a few friends or for families with young children. |
